Call for Submissions

We encourage submissions from any area of HCI, Customer Experience, Design Thinking, User Experience Strategy, Research, Design, Digital Disruptions, Gaming, New Product Development for emerging markets.

Presentation format

Two categories for submission are available to participants

1. Lightening Talks for 15 Minutes  (includes 5 mins Q&A) 

2. Full Length Talks for 30 Minutes  (includes 8 minutes Q&A)

Submission Guidelines

In order to be eligible, participants need to submit a 150 – 300 word abstract of the topic and a 3-minute video explaining your topic and how you plan to engage the audience during the session. We will use the video to evaluate your presentation skills, so please make sure you upload appropriate footage. In order to generate interest and explain the topic well, we encourage the use of props, skits and AVs apart from the traditional PPT format

Submissions will be curated by a panel comprising senior UX academicians and practitioners.

Selected speakers will be notified by email to submit the final presentations

Submission Process

Part 1

Last Date: Sept 1 2016

This is a Presentations Track. To qualify, please send your presentation in the form of an abstract (250 words or less) along with a 3 minute video. The video can be a selfie style movie elaborating on your selected topic. We will use the video to gauge your presentation and communication skills. Abstract submission will be through Easy Chair. Videos may be submitted in MP3 / MP4 format through EasyCHair, or you can include a link to a video uploaded over YouTube. Easy Chair Videos should not exceed 5MB

Abstract and video submissions must contain author details. This is not an anonymous track.

NOTE – The Video submission for ABSTRACT SUBMISSION (deadline Sept 1) is Optional. 
And it continues to be mandatory for final submission (deadline Oct 1)

 

Part 2

Last Date: Oct 1 2016

Submissions that qualify in Round 1, will be notified to share complete presentations. Presentation time must be as per the option selected during Abstract Submission.  Once you submit your presentation, you can leep modifying the entry till the submission closure date.

Final selections will be done on the basis of these submissions. Invited speaker will be notified by Nov 1 2016
